Numerous species of birds call the island home including honey eaters, zebra finches, galahs, correlas, splendid fairy wrens, white breasted sea eagles, ospreys and the list goes on.

The birdlife is unique as 1% of the world’s population of Pied Oystercatchers and Grey-tailed Tattlers are to be found here and it is an important site of the restricted-range Ducky Gerygone.
